I was surfing on EBay last night and I saw they are offering Mithrandir's "Magick E.P.". The last bid I saw was $149.

The world went completely mad wacko.gif

DAMN!!!!!

I saw Soviet Invasion going for a good $175 once. I think I paid all of $50 for mine years back. Every now & again, Armored Saint's first EP fetches some interesting prices too. Yeah, I know, no one likes them but me!

Dirty Rocker- 03-08-2005
I bought my Witchfinder General - Soviet Invasion 12'' for about 40 dollar.
That EP is a real killer!

Dirty Rocker- 03-12-2005
Today, I bought 2 obscure swedish heavy metal singles!

WIZZARD - NINYA WARRIOR 7''
AMBUSH - 4-TRACK EP 7''

Realy obscure and good items! The singer in Wizzard was 13 years old, when they recorded this single back in 86'. But still, he has a amazing voice!

Yesterday, I bought the holy - TRAITORS GATE - DEVIL TAKES THE HIGH ROAD 12''!! For 8 fucking dollars!! It was the original, still sealed in mint condition.. It is worth about 200 dollars and is one of the rarest NWOBHM-records ever... much rarer than singles like SPEED, SATAN, HOLLOW GROUND, REQEUIM, REINCARNATE and so on!

FUCK, I'm happy! I have been looking for this gemm for 2 years now! And now, this price, uuuh!

Hmm well, I wouldn't agree with you on Traitors Gate rarity... I'm pretty sure that original singles from Speed and Reincarnate are rarer, as they were pressed on minor quantities in the first place. But ohhhhh yeah, it is indeed a bloody good EP! The title track is no less than a NWOBHM classic - one of my favourite songs from the entire period. I also have mp3s from their 1983/84 demo, which are not that good really. Cannot be compared to Stormqueen's "Battle of Britain", maybe the best demo from the entire NWOBHM period!

But ohh well
"The Devil Walks Agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain" biggrin.gif

Dirty Rocker- 03-16-2005
Well, I would place Traitors Gate in the same rarity as SPEED.

Yes! The "intro" to Devil Takes The High Road make my knees start shaking! Hell, that song is TOO good to be true!

Shoot To Kill and Love After Midnight is also real killers!

This EP, I give 10 points out of 10, easy!

Dirty Rocker- 03-16-2005
StormQueen is really good!

The song Lady Night is really good, and Battle of Britain to!

But I like demos with HELL, TYRANT, SATAN etc. more!

The single with StormQueen (Come Silent the World) seems as rare as Dragonslayer, Tyrant and Marquis De Sade. sad.gif

The StormQueen-single was also misspressed, with a red label and the title "Come Silent the Night". That one is even more rare, most of them was destroyed i think! But some still excist!

Dirty Rocker- 03-16-2005
All the good and cool NWOBHM-singles do always cost so much!! And I do not have the money for those singles.. I'm just 15 years old.. :/

I like the Stormqueen's demo better than the single because of the singer. Not that I think Paul Burnett is bad, quite the contrary, but Chris Glyn-Jones (who sang in the demo) was so gifted! I love his raunchy style! And you're right, most of the mispressed itens of the first single were destroyed, but some were sent to radio stations and record companies and survived to this day. Mega-rarities!

I have only mp3s of most of these NWOBHM stuff... The original itens are mostly too damn expensive to buy. Itens that will never ever be re-released officially, out there for share and for free - that's the fair side of piracy!!! wink.gif

SATANs 1st demo is a kick-ass! And HELL is no less than a HM legend for me.

Anyone into HIGH TREASON??? cool.gif

Dirty Rocker- 03-17-2005
Actually, I haven't heard High Treason.. But their single looks cool as hell!
How do they sound?

I'm 15 years old, but I have mega luck with my recordcollection.

I have found some cool records for a little amount of money. Some of these records is:

Deep Switch - Nine Inches Of God LP

Damascus - Open Your Eyes 12''
Witchfinder General - Soviet Invasion 12''
ARC - War Of The Ring 7''
Battleaxe - Burn This Town 7''
Cynic - Suicide 7''

That was some NWOBHM-records I have found.

Hels - Birth/Death 7''
Depzon - Flying On The Sundown 7''
Zone Zero - Heavy Metal 7'' (Pang Records) (and I also have a original poster)

Someone that have heard the amazing band "DEEP SWITCH" ?!?!
The record "Nine Inches Of God" is, in my opinion the best record ever. I think it destoys every Maiden-album!
Fucking awesome, mystical and fantastic heavy metal!

Igor N. Vieira- 03-17-2005
HIGH TREASON's 7" is one of my top favorites from the NWOBHM era! Heavy and energetic as hell. "Saturday Night Special" is a masterpiece of Heavy Metal, and "Waste my Love", althought kinda acessive, is amazing as well. Very good stuff, I would strongly reccomend it to you and to everyone else. And Ohh, yeah, the pic is awesome!

Sorry, but I can't resist temptation:D :

I like Stitch, they are pretty decent in my opinion. And AXEWITCH is so damn cool! I love their music really.

Well, I do like DEEP SWITCH LP, but not that much... As a huge fan of Iron Maiden, I would never agree with your comparision, but we live in a free world, right? cool.gif

Igor N. Vieira- 03-17-2005
And I would never forget the mighty NWOBHM legend:

DEEP MACHINE
