I want to hear High Treason! smile.gif

I have heard some live-material with Deep Machine, if I remember well, it was great!

Go to my and 2 friends' NWOBHM-site and write something in the guestbook!

We only review records that we own our self! It's not clear, hundreds of records will show up in the "record archive".

DEEP MACHINE released 3 demos in total. The 1980 release is the most well-known, but there are tapes from 1982 and 1983 as well. And some live recordings still exist, one of them done at Marquee in 1981 with Kevin Heybourne (AngelWitch) on guitar. I really like their music. Actually, there are rumors that a DEEP MACHINE LP in vinyl is to be released sometime soon, possibly with even rarer and unknown recordings. I would be the first in line for it cool.gif

Speaking of rumors, anyone remember the gossip about a WTF live CD that circulated around 2000 or 2001? Man, I was really excited about it, but I guess it was the naive in me... It obviously never materialized.

By the way, Dirty Rocker: awesome websites! the interview with Stormqueen is very cool indeed. And I already knew the Battleaxe site, good job there too. Way to go, my friend biggrin.gif

Time to listen on more Deep Machine, I don't really remember how they sounded!! sad.gif

Thanks! We try too update the battleaxe-site as often as we can, so if anyone have pics and so on, please email me and Mike (the e-mail stands on the Battleaxe-page)

The NWOBHM-site, we want to do all our self, though. smile.gif

Traitors Gate, Charger, Damascus, Witchfinder General, Crucifixion, Holocaust and so on (100's of records) will be aded on the site. So keep updated! smile.gif

By the way!
I have bought 2 new singles with the colombian band KRAKEN!

Kraken - Escudo Y Espada 7''
Kraken - Todo Hombre Es Una Historia 7''

25 euro/each!

They are ultra rare and only released as promotions (if my memory don't fail, hehe!)

Anyone heard about them? Extremely great band!

the HIGH TREASON single is one of the best so far, quite rare without picture sleeve, insanely rare and expensive with an original sleeve

I agree with Deep Machine, I have the 1981 live tape and it kills. I remember seeing on ebay a DEEP MACHINE tape from 1991, it looks like they were active til the early nineties, and never got signed and released anything officially during all this time...a pity really

Another killer 7" is the RICOCHET "Midas Light", the chorus goes on and on in your head once you've heard it

CHARGER slays as well !

Igor N. Vieira- 04-06-2005
Yes! RICOCHET kicks ass! The both songs from the 7" are killer! And I like the front cover too!

CHARGER is a very nice band as well... "Desperadoes" is a really catchy song.

About DEEP MACHINE, I don't know really... I never really heard of any activity from them after late 1983, when they supposedly gave up the ghost. But, who knows? I know bands such as DESTROYA and SEVENTH SON survived at least until middle 90s, so I think it is a reasonable possibility.

Guest_Dirty Rocker- 04-22-2005
Yes, Charger fucking rules!

"Are you out there?! Yeeah, yeahyeah, yeeeeaah!"

I have heard High Treason now, it wasn't as good as I thought though.
But I have only listened to it a few times! I will listen more to it later.

And what about MENDES PREY? biggrin.gif

Guest_Dirty Rocker- 05-02-2005
After listening alot on High Treason... THEY ARE GREAT!!

Yes, Mendes Prey Is great.

What about Marquis De Sade!? One of the best singles of NWOBHM-history!

The best is Hold Back The Lightning with Tyrant!!!

Igor N. Vieira- 05-03-2005
SOMEWHERE UP IN THE MOUNTAAAAAAAAAAAAAINS.......... biggrin.gif

I wasn't that much into Marquis de Sade, but I listened to them more carefully and now I realize how cool they are - same as Dirty Rocker with HIGH TREASON, I guess cool.gif

Saying what would be the best NWOBHM single is so damn hard... There are too many I really love. Perhaps I should try to make a list! I'll consider it.

Guest_Dirty Rocker- 05-08-2005
Yeah, I think Black Angel is even better!

In that way it can be sometimes! smile.gif

Soon, I will come with a new list of "new arrivals" of records! smile.gif
One of the records that has arrived to me is one of the top 5 rarest NWOBHM-singles.. smile.gif I'll list 'em all tommorrow!

Cheers!

APOCALYPSE : Stormchild 7" from 1981 ( future OMEGA, the band who released "The prophet " LP) is a killer, one the truly best, and very rare as well, at least as rare as the MARQUIS DE SADE one.

Guest_Dirty Rocker- 05-09-2005
Yeah, that one is great!

These are the records I have got in the la-*test*-('") month:

One of the rarest NWOBHM-singles for sure!!! (Top 5 I think)
------> Tyrant - Hold Back The Lightning 7''

Witchfinder General - Burning A Sinner 7'' (original)
Paralex - White Lightning 12''
Hell - Save Us From Those Who WOuld Save Us 7'' (the re-press, with PS, 250 ex pressed)

kiss of death- 05-09-2005
worth addition to any nwobhm collection

it's so annoying the TYRANT 7" is so thin on the ground....Where have all the copies gone ?

Guest_Dirty Rocker- 05-09-2005
A huge amount of the tyrant-singles were destoyed by the band back in the 80's.

"How many copies of "Hold Back the Lightning" 7'' were made?
There were so many we used them as frisbees and beer mats but guess what? I don’t have one now and am desperatly trying to get hold of one."

I don't know how many copies of the single that were made, but my suggestion is 500.

Does anybody know that?
