Horrible story...
and I know from good source the TYRANT guitar player who plays now in an OZZY tribute band doesn't care much about his old band and is unhelpful regards to people wanting to re release the music

Paralex - White Lightning 12''

I loved that song, especially the moody-sounding bass in it.

What's the rest of their stuff like? That's all I've heard from them.

Yes, pretty horrible.. But not for me now, when I have it in my collection! smile.gif

Paralex have only released one 12'' - White Lightning.

There's 2 more songs on that EP, Travelling Man and Black Widow.

All the songs is great! Black Widow is the best song in my opinion.

PARALEX have TONS of unreleased stuff apart from these 3 tracks, just check out their website on the recordings page and you'll get mad laugh.gif

95% of everything they recorded was never issued officially, nor bootleged as far as I'm aware

I think their "Dogfight" song they recorded in 1981 is the fa-*test*-('") thing I have EVER heard from a band so earlier as 1981, perhaps with "Down the Road" from Bitches Sin. They got very close to thrash metal 2 years before Exciter, Slayer and Metallica, and this song is faster than any Venom stuff

Yes, alot of demos. I haven't heard any of them though.. :/

NP: HELL - Demo 1982 - Intense Is The Sense Of Doom

Why the (*#! haven't they released any more of that stuff?! Some kind of legal problems, or something?

financial issues and lack of interest from labels probably. Releasing vinyls back then on your own as self financed was much more expensive than doing a hundred CDs like all the young bands are doing now
