Yes, I was very shocked at this, especially with how very popular Pentera was here in their home state of Texas.

Even though I'm from the same state, I didn't really know much about Pantera (I hate to admit), but half the band must have been made of pretty decent people to have Dimebag and his brother on drums be together for that along, not to mention to still be together in a new band as well.

I saw Slayer only 2 nights after the Damageplan shootings, and let me tell you - security was TIGHT. They had us waiting in the rain for 45 minutes while they thoroughly searched everybody. Not that I'm complaining, mind you... It's just too damn bad that unstable people with firearms kill innocent people.
