This is in regards as to all the different kinds of metal you've got, for those stereotyping stinkers that think metal all sounds the same (therefore I'm dividing mine up into categories).

oldest metal in collection

Starz (1976)
Kiss (debatable, especially since this was Dynasty, supposedly their "disco" album)

"regular" or power metal (I guess you could call it--not much of it here!)

Metallica
Testament
King Kobra
The Scorpions
Helix
Vendetta (not proud of this one though! [note: I thought I was getting the German thrash version of the band when I bought this...didn't know there was a poser American group by the same name a few years earlier!])
Slayer
Forced Entry
Scanner
Witchfynde
Mama's Boys
Seduce

heavy metal with opera

Candlemass

heavy metal with folk

Skyclad

industrial metal

Voivod (that's how I viewed them as, with their sound, even though they didn't have a drum machine)

heavy metal with flute and organ

Bethzaida

Celtic Frost (category all by themselves, due to how much they changed!)

black/death/thrash metal (tons, not gonna go there)

heavy metal with funk

Mordred

humorous metal

Scatterbrain
dead horse ('course they touched on all kinds of styles)

melodic metal

Golgotha

heavy metal with classical/opera

Therion

Christian metal

Mortification
Stryper (hate to admit the latter, but at least I only have one of their albums!)

doom metal

Candlemass (already mentioned)
Witchfinder General, I guess (kinda close to that doomy sound)

stuff I don't know what category to put them into

Disharmonic Orchestra
Bal-Sagoth (whose main instrument is the keyboard [after their first album, that is; their debut was actually pretty heavy]..."symphonic metal", I guess)

She likes some of the more melodic stuff (King's X, Robin Trower, etc.), but she gets upset if she comes home and Exodus is on the stereo... rolleyes.gif
