Hello all, i checked this great site out a few months back and read about the new live cd coming out, and saw that it hadnt:( Well on friday i said to myself i better check and see what the scoop is. Well i ordered a copy off ebay from CA, hopefully it has the extra artwork. I am sooooooooooo excited to hear this, you dont know. Will be looking for the lp version with extended material too.

I first heard Witchfinder General from a friend in '83(death penalty) on a tape he recorded off an album he let me borrow. Well as broke as i was in 9th grade, i had to grab the album right away for my own and realized how nice Joanne Latham looked on the cover, definitely an added bonus he he. Man was it freakin awesome, probably my most played metal albums of all time, very dark visual music yet makes me smile and happy to hear it at anytime. Being a guitar player, i loved the melodic riffs and in your face solos that cut thru with mega presence and just loved the personality in the vocals and the ultra powerful drums and bass. Its funny when you remember when and where you bought certain great albums. I was living near west palm beach florida at the time, and picked up death penalty at specs music in the mall. I remember going to gainseville florida on the occasional weekend to visit sis up in college, loved the selection of import albums up there at the university of florida and picked up friends of hell, always so excited to get back home and make a tape of the first play of the album. I have both albums with the outer covering still on, probably played only once, but the taped recording played a bazillion times. In 92 i moved over to tampa area and worked at peaches record store, and found out i could order the japanese import of these 2 superb albums and diamond heads borrowed time and canterbury. Essentials for any right minded NWOBHMer!!!!

Man if some kind of crazy Witchfinder General reunion occurs, im on the next plane to england, that would be the most wicked of dreams for me. I must stay in close contact with this site as to not miss out.

Im still in Florida just outside of tampa where they bottle up water....Zephyrhills
thanks for hearing me out, i cant wait to jam out this live recording smile.gif

HEY THERE AND W-E-L-C-O-M-E

That was some intense and thrilling read...it's always great to meet new friends on here and you are soooo right you MUST keep eyes here and spread the word to other fans out there.

The camp is jumping here with the release of the vinyl album and tee-shirts to-incide with that release(although they are the same as the ones for the Live CD) and the writing of new material for a possible third album wink.gif wink.gif All sizes are currently available(see e-bay for info)

The 'official' resurrected tee and polo shirts are made from high quality cotton and can only be bought via Nickel Music or Russ, our trusted buddy in the States smile.gif

Do feel free to contact us anytime if you wish to know further info on the band.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! Sometimes im wondering if im posting in the right part of the forum or am missing posts somehow. I will definitely get a shirt or 2!!! I didnt know they were availabe........hell yeah!!!

I saw on a posting somewhere in here, they finally after all these years figured out what D.S. stood for and they were 35 now, well i didnt see anyones explanation of that, so if someone is willing to let me know, thanks. I figured some abbreviation for british detective or the repeated use of psychedelics creating the letters lsd to be scrambled but no L, so at least i made a fool of myself in guessing what the hell D.S. stood for ha ha.

Will definitely ask some geetar questions, as i read the Phil Cope interview which was freakin awesome and very entertaining. I love his style and sound, i was never much on learning other peoples music, but absorbed alot of great music and tried to translate into my own original stuff.

I'll be back soon
