...all three full length WFG CDs. Death Penalty I won on eBay, Friends Of Hell I picked up on Amazon, and Live '83 likewise on eBay (from Russ Vrankovich, even.) I gotta say, I'm stoked. This stuff is not easy to come across here in ye olde colonies. I'm sure any other American NWOBHM fan can relate.
I even managed to grab up the WFG movie. (Had to import that sucker from Australia to get it uncut and with the proper title,) but it was well worth it. Quality flick and a great addition to my collection.
I first came across about WFG on Doom-Metal.com, browsing the bandlist. (Actually, I most likely first heard the name either as being listed as an influence by another band or as a recommendation as being "in league" with other favorites of mine - Saint Vitus, Venom, Black Sabbath, Diamond Head, Mercyful Fate, etc. etc.) The name intrigued me, so I hit Limewire out of curiousity (who says downloading tunes doesn't lead to purchases?) and found a few tracks and immediately became a big fan.
