HELLO,

I am quietus from the San Francisco Bay Area, I have been a fan, no, obsessed by Witchfinder General since 1982. They are my favorite band and have been and will be.

I do not play video games or watch tv or any such nonsense. I sit and drink strong ale and listen to Witchfinder General, often with Grave Snatcher and discuss which is the best. We first put on the singles, then Death Penalty,Friends of Hell and finish with the godly live 83 lp. Then we repeat.

We marvel at Zeeb's dark lyrics and evil vocal and then stare at each other wondering how one man could write let alone play one godly riff after another. All hail Phil Cope.

Seeing the live 83 lp come out and the band playing again is a dream come true for me. Thanks to Rod and Derm as well for their rock solid rhythm section! I cannot wait to hear the new stuff

Thanks to the Generals,

Quietus

hello, this is Gravesnatcher from the Bay Area California.I have to say this topic is a very painful read for me.I can't stand video games,Indian Music,Battlestar Galactica and all that other crap when there is Heavy Metal to listen to and strong beer to be drunk.Witchfinder General has and always will be my favorite band of all time.I remember hearing the Death Penalty lp first blasting out of my brothers room when I was about 12 years old. There was also a skunky smoke that emitted from the room that to this day I still haven't a clue what it was:)The introduction to Invisible Hate was all it took.I was possessed.A fan for life.
My brother was a pioneer of Metal Hunting in the early 80's.Bringing home Motorhead's Ace of Spades,Venom Black Metal(scared the crap out of me),Saxon wheels of steel,Bathory's s/t(please gimme your lyric sheet). It was great to be able to listen to these lp's without paying a dime.thanks bro!!!

today,I have all of my records and the collection has grown.I collect mostly nwobhm.I take pride in my collection as it is a way of life for me.Not a passing trend. My 7" nwobhm collection is my most complete.I have stuff like Witchfinder General burning a sinner(fully signed by '81 line-up) Shock Treatment,Radium, marquis de sade, sapphire, apocalypse and a ton of other rare singles from all over the world.

I just would like to thank Witchfinder General for all that they have done. They have left us several legacies and they sound as good today as they did in the early 80's.How can any human make up a heavier song than Soviet Invasion?Phil Cope is awesome! Can't wait to hear the new Material.

No one said you had to read through it.

Nice for those of us to give out some info about ourselves and get hateful comments in return. I'm sure there are things about you that I wouldn't like either, but that's life.

Hi guys, I'm from Germany and I love Witchfinder General since the first time i heard them, i guess it's about one year ago. I really like listening to music, I just need a CD/LP and a beer to enjoy the good old stuff like Cloven Hoof,Angel Witch, Abattoir and much more.
Hope that we don't have to wait too long until their (WG) new record is coming out.
Greetings from Germany
