US General- 02-15-2006
Lifelong General fan from Boston here and I must say Phil and Russell have outdone themselves! This live cd is amazing! Phil and Zeeb are better live. Derm drums are excellent! Rods bass is great, especially in Free Country! Love phils solo on Quieeeetus. Cant stop listening to Free Country, its like a whole new version. All I can say is PLEEEESE find a way to rerecord the 3rd album! Also one of my favs Soviet Invation!
Phil Cope is a guitar god!
THANK YOU PHIL, RUSSELL ans LIAM!!!!

Got my CD in the mail today! I'am playing it now as I speak (typ) these words.
I got up to 'Shadowed Images', this is incredibly great! I never dreamed to get more WFG stuff then the vinyl I own.
Thanks to everyone involved!
ElectricWitchfinder- 03-03-2006
I'd like to get hold of that actually- Witchfinder General- they definatly have the essence of doom.. and i imagine even more so live!
Knock Renfield- 03-24-2006
I, too, have waited 20 years to hear some new WG and never thought I would. I love this new live CD, but why was the pitch altered? This is very evident on "Quietus".
PHIL COPE IS GOD- 03-24-2006
I agree Knock, definete pitch altar on a couple of tracks....
Still fantastic though!! I feel very fortunate to be on the listening end of this epic release. Keep em comin'!
Hail Satan!
Knock Renfield- 03-24-2006
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm diggin' this shit! I think this weekend I'm going to run a couple of these tracks through Roxio and see if I can raise the pitch to compare with the live R.I.P. (for the obvious reason that it's the only other live WFG track in circulation). A huge thanks to Phil for putting this out and to the lads for such a great performance and great music!
Lelex_666- 03-27-2006
My cd features 12 tracks insted of 13, I'm the lonely one??

Thank you "love on smack", this live album is a real gem! It's a pity we have to wait 22 years to hear some WG live stuff! I'm into tapetrading since 1985 and I never seen any WG audio/video item in any list...... to have this cd in my hands now it's like Christmas!! I can't wait for the vynil version!

kiss of death- 03-28-2006
I'll get that vinyl version at soon as it is out, this album is like a breath of fresh air in a sea of mud. One of the best releases of the past 25 years for me. I can only thank the band again and again for unleashing this monster.

I love the 'new' live cd. I think it's great. But there's one problem I hear and that's the pitch (speed) of the recordings. "Quietus" is way too slow. It's quite evident by Zeeb's spoken intro. I sped it up and it now sounds correct. I don't believe Zeeb's vocals were ever that way that they are on the disc. It seems like every track on the disc is presented at it's own unique speed. I corrected all the tracks on my cd and CDR'd it. My new version of the disc runs just under 60 minutes instead of 67+ minutes. Does anyone else feel that the tracks are slower than when they were originally recorded in July '83?
