THE NEW ALBUM

After a long delay due to the recording studio having problems with the new mixing deck the new WFG album has got under way

It is sounding cool already

I have always said that the third album [which never got recorded] would have been our best and I still stick by that, so we have taken all the guitar riffs and used them to construct new material.
It however, will take some time before we are at a stage when we can complete it, bearing in mind we have to keep our full-time jobs going too

We have had vocalists from all over the globe wanting to take Zeeb's place, he will take some replacing but we're now close to making a decision, depending on the guy's commitments

- we have got nothing to prove now, it was all done 25 years ago.

It's amazing to think that there are so many good singers out there who would be willing to drop everything and get their asses over to us to record this new album, but some are just too far away, but thanks for giving it a go anyway

I will keep you posted when the vocals job has been taken

I'm so curious about the songs. Is there even one of the songs that will be unchanged. You're rewriting all the material from 1984 right?.. but keeping the riffs. That's a crazy experiment that I have never heard of being done before. This might just be a rock first... in fact I think it IS a rock first. Nobody's ever done this... The circumstance is completely unique and the process is too. Well boys, you might just be making rock and roll history with this album BEFORE it's even been heard. Well done!

On the 1984 tape of the third unrecorded album [which I'm so glad I treasured over the years] you can hardly hear the vocals.

So we have had to create new lyrics and melodes for every track, but basically 'the song remains the same ' as Led Zep said.

Derm the Germ has matured greatly over the years and sounds better than ever, so the Beast suggested we use a drum solo, which we have

In addition there are two songs which have been written in the last twelve months

and the six original tracks plus an acoustic instrumental from '84 to make up the album.

I can still find number 11 on my guitar amp!!
