I got turned on to Witchfinder General back in 1984 on one of those NWOBHM compilations (Metal Inferno I think). I picked up Freinds Of Hell on cassette and I met a dude in town that had Death Penalty on vinyl, so I was hooked up from that point forward. I searched out the elusive Soviet Invasion and finally scored a copy in 1995.

Man, that's pretty much exactly how I got into them, by a compilation (Metal Killers Vol. II), then got Friends of Hell (although this was in '86 or '87 though), etc.
